10 years ago, this day, May 1st, Jeremy and I had a date that we call THE date...well we actually call it the motorcycle date but that's not the important part. We met spring break 1999...remember the story in THIS post...well in between spring break and May 1st Jeremy & I went out only a couple of times. We probably went on 2 or 3 dates, he came to one of my softball games and also threw me a small little birthday party. At that party he asked me if I wanted to go on a date on his motorcycle that coming Saturday to the Birds of Prey place on the other side of Kuna. I said sure and he said he'd plan something for lunch & would pick me up around noon.
So Saturday came around & it was a very cloudy day...looked like rain was coming...but right about noon, here he came down the lane on his bike. I'm not sure where me dad was but my mom was working in the yard & came to talk to us before we left. She asked what our plans were and Jeremy told her, then she looked in that direction and the darkest clouds were that way! She suggested maybe going somewhere else so Jeremy decided on Idaho City instead and off we went. We headed up State Street & the weather was nice and beautiful. The perfect temperature for a bike ride...until we got to about Warm Springs...a little sprinkle started there. We decided to keep on going to see if we could just ride it out. We made it to about Robie Creek before we decided the rain was not going to get better so we turned around & headed back to Boise. At about Barber Park the rain stopped and the sun came shining out so we stopped for a picnic that Jeremy had planned...he picked up some Subway's on his way to pick me up. We climbed some rocks across the street from there & then the rain started again so we hopped on the bike and headed to his house. When we finally got there we were soaking wet! Jeremy was so kind and offered me some of his clothes to change into so mine could dry & then we headed out in his truck to do some more things he had planned. We ended up going & playing some pool, got some dinner, drove around talking and I can't remember everything else we did. I think I finally got home again around midnight??? From that point on we were inseparable! We saw each other everyday from there on out...
Sorry I have no pictures to share with this story but you get what you get!
