Ok, so remember the story of the broken thumb?? Here's a picture to remind you. 

 We had the continuation of the story today. We went into the hand specialist this morning. They took more x-rays, and it's healing very nicely! It's broken just above the growth plate so no surgery. YAY! that would be my thankful for today! AND no more wrapped cast. She gets to sport this awesome pink & purple brace for the next 2 weeks, and then another 2 weeks after that she has to use it for only PE and recess. That's it! All healed in about a month! Kids are amazing!

I also found out the real reason why Jen wanted to go to school the day after she broke her thumb. She's trying to get perfect attendance for the year. She was pretty bummed she had to get a tardy today to go to the dr. The office staff told us though that she can get 2 tardies and no absences and still get perfect attendance...Now the pressures on for the rest of the year!
