I spent the morning at the kids elementary for 5th graduation and awards assembly. I thought I would be an emotional wreck, but I actually didn't shed a tear. I admit when the 5th graders first started singing their song behind me (they lined the gym perimeter) I got a little misty but that was all.
2 out of 3 of my elementary students received awards today also. Kayla's awards we had no idea about, and Jennie's we were a little surprised as well. Jennie received faithful attendance. I was surprised with this because we all got the flu back in February and I thought we all had missed 2 days...Jennie missed only 1 I guess. Kayla received the National Fitness award & the Presidential Education award. She had no idea about either of these and was quite surprised about the fitness one. Kayla is NOT a physical girl in anyway, she would prefer to read or draw. I'm SO proud of all my kids this week! They all did great...pictures to come!
