Jennie's Birth-day!

***Disclaimer: This post is strictly for journaling purposes***

On Friday, December 13th, 2002, I had a dr.'s appointment in the morning. When the dr. checked me I was dilated to a 5 and 80% effaced. Once he was done checking he asked how I felt about having a baby that afternoon. I was pretty shocked! I think I stuttered a little then said Ummm....sure. He called the hospital, set up a time, then came back in and asked if I could be at the hospital in an hour and a half. Luckily Jeremy was with me already! We had to run back home and grab our bags and Kayla's bag then we met my mom in the hospital parking lot for her to take Kayla for the weekend. I checked into the hospital about 12:00 and the dr. came in and broke my water at about 1:30. I walked around for a while and when labor got really hard I got in the jetted tub and just let the jets blow on my back and Jer would push on it through contractions. I nurse came and checked me while I was in there and I was at a nine so she said it was time to go get ready for pushing. I went back to my room, climbed up on my bed and pushed for about 15 minutes and then Jennie was born. She came into the world with her tongue hanging out at 4:52 pm. She was 7 lbs 13 oz 19.5 inches long.

She was my most calm and uneventful labor thus far but always adds excitement to our family with the things she comes up with.

Happy Birthday! Love you Jen!
