So I'm done with my homework for the night...I've had all I can take for the day...so I thought I would post an update on my most questioned adventure of late!
I have had a nagging feeling that I needed to be going back to school now for about 2 1/2 years. I was getting all set up to go to ITT Tech in their drafting program when I got pregnant with Ryan then I got really sick then I got put on bed rest so we decided the timing just wasn't right. And so the nagging went on...and on...and on...and finally this spring or early summer we were at some friends house and I mentioned to them about this nagging feeling and Jeremy was completely taking back that I was still feeling this way and not saying anything and then said "then let's get you in school!" So that week I applied for two schools near us, Boise State and Treasure Valley Community College, and also filled out my FAFSA. Within three weeks I had been accepted to both schools and knew how much student aid I was eligible for. Now I just needed to decide on which school. I decided on BSU after looking at the online courses offered and was interested in more that BSU had to offer. I was really excited and nervous about going! I got most of the classes I wanted and all of them are online! So I can still be home with the kids, which is good and bad...studying is sometimes really hard but so far we've made it! I am taking the following classes:
E-learning: a 5 week course on how to use blackboard, the program that BSU uses for online classes. It takes me about 1 1/2 hours to finish a weeks worth of class...including kid interruptions! I love this one!
Art: This class is completely self-guided! I have to complete 1 unit with 6 lessons and 1 quiz every 3 weeks. If I want to go faster I can...and am hoping too!
Spanish: I thought it was funny to do Spanish online but it is actually working. We use microphones and headphones and this Thursday I am doing my first phone conversation lab. This class is also not so stressful...yet...so far it's been mostly review.
English Comp: This was my most dreaded class! I HATE writing...for a grade...but so far I am about 1 week ahead. I have to write a personal essay this week...not sure what I'm going to do yet...this one causes me stress even though I'm ahead...
Sociology: This is the class I wasn't planning on and I was really excited when I found it. BUT it is my most stressful, most time consuming class! It takes me ALL week to do these assignments! And I am not enjoying it thus far...I think it would be a better class to take on campus or in person. It involves a LOT of reading...but this weeks chapters seem interesting so far.
My major is general studies...undeclared as of now...I just thought I would start with classes that interested me and then decide what I want to be when I grow up!
So that's where all my time goes now and all other spare time goes to family and sleep! So if I don't post till December at least now you know why...

Wow! You are very brave. I took that one summer class online and decided to wait to finish school when my kids are all in school. Good luck! You are awesome!!
How exciting! And a lot of work. I hope this semester goes well for you. About the words on photos, any photo editing program will do it or if you start a free photobucket account you can edit your pictures there as well. Good luck!
