What I want to be when I grow up...
From the ripe old age of 8 my dad started teaching me the art of photography. From F-stops to apertures, enlarging and developing, he showed me all. In 4th grade I remember writing that I wanted to be a photographer when I grow up. Then as the years went by I wanted to be different things. In middle school it was a teacher. Then in 9th grade a peds nurse, then just a nurse...too many shots for little ones...then a preschool teacher when I graduated from high school, which I got to do that & decided maybe that wasn't what I really wanted to be after all. So again as the years have gone by being a wife and mother I have thought what DO I want to be when I grow up?? I have thought about nursing school, hair school, dental hygienist...in the fall of 2007 I was going to go to school for pre-architecture at ITT Tech! I was REALLY excited about that but then our sweet little Ryan came along. I am REALLY happy about that. I would still love to go into drafting someday but right now my mind is back in the days when I was 8 & 9. Going on excursions with my dad & our cameras to wherever the road would lead us and take picture after picture. I have since forgotten which dial is the F-stop and which is the aperture, the enlarger is covered by a sheet in my stamping room with expired chemicals in the drawer next to it. The world of photography is a much different place these days with digital, which in some ways seems to make things easier, but I REALLY want to learn it all again!! And I am excited about it!!! So I think maybe this is what I want to be when I grow up...for real...

Hey Carrie! It was nice talking to you last night at the crazy church meeting! Let's keep in touch...
I love photography also, but have never taken a class and know absolutely nothing about it. And my favorite class I took in Interior Design school was drafting, I miss all that so much... Anyway have a great day!

Photography would be cool but I always think how fun it would be to be a wedding planned. I love weddings and everything that goes with it so I thin that would be my dream job!
That's so cool!! I have wanted to be a speech pathologist for a hundred years so I am starting school for that in the summer. Wish me luck! Have fun living your dreams!!
That would be awesome for you. You could name the business after your dadsince he inspired your future! (in more ways then photography I'm sure!)
