Every year for the 4th of July we go up to Jeremy's grandparents cabin. It sits right on the lake in Donnelly, right across from Tamarack. I look forward to it every year. It is so beautiful & peaceful up there.
We always have such a good time. The weekend always includes fireworks over the lake, which is awesome because the fish jump at the flashes in the water. Then pinochle or other games till 3 in the morning after the huge family tournament of pinochle, which I NEVER win but have been close. Eating WAY too much and then church on Sunday. I swear that has to be the busiest weekend of the year in that building!! The chapel is always so packed! I think they have started going to 2 sacrament meetings just on that weekend, except this year! We went to church in a barn! A BARN??? Yep, a barn! The McCall building is being renovated so in the meantime church is being held in the bishops horse barn...brand new, no horses have been in it yet. It was a great experience. The barn backs right up to the forest. I

told Jeremy it was a very pioneer experience to me in the way that we were out in the heat, trying to keep in the shade & our kids out of the dirt. He just laughed at me! The spirit was very strong however in the wilderness.

This is the road we had to drive uo to get to church. It was...not sure what word works here...different! When we turned of the paved road we knew we were in for an experience!

And here is the barn! The little tent right outside was the 'primary room'. Nursery was in the bishop's basement, RS was at the neighbor's up the hill, YW's was upstairs in the bishop's house, Priesthood was in the barn except for YM's which was wherever they ended up in the woods behind the barn.
